Public Works

TALLCREE TRIBAL GOVERNMENT

Public Works helps keep daily life across the Nation running smoothly. The team looks after community buildings, roads, water systems, wastewater services, and other essential infrastructure that support members every day.

The department also provides fire response services in North and South Tallcree and, when needed, supports nearby communities such as Fort Vermilion and Beaver Ranch. Public Works plays an important role in emergency planning and response, helping protect people, homes, and the land during serious situations.

Disaster and Emergency Management

Emergency Management helps keep the community safe by preparing for and responding to situations that may affect people, homes, or the land. This work is led by Gabe Meneen, who also oversees Public Works.

Staff work together as part of the Nation’s fire, rescue, and emergency response team.

Wildfires are one of the biggest risks in the region, but the team also plans for extreme weather and other emergency situations that may impact the Nation.

When emergencies happen, updates may be shared through:

  • The TTG Facebook page
  • Community text messages
  • The TTG website
  • Alberta Emergency Management
  • Agency alerts in urgent situations

The goal is to keep members informed during emergencies and important community situations.
